We breed our Nigerians to a high standard. We breed for hardiness and excellent milking ability, not just for capacity but for ease of milking and high butterfat content. We like our yogurt extra creamy. We want hardy good mama's that are easy to breed and are able to care for all the kids they have whether that be 1 or 4. We don't have the time to bottle feed kids. So having strong maternal capabilities is important. We want animals that are able to withstand the cold Alberta winters with minimal intervention. We've recently signed up to import American bucks into Canada in 2021. We are pretty excited as we are the first in Alberta! We can't wait to get some new blood into our great crew of does.
